Simple Plan Live in KL (again!)

Those of you who know me really well, you would know that Im a huge fan of Simple Plan, ever since ther first song 'Im Just A Kid' came out which was like 10 years ago! I was 13 back then. So basically I can say that I grew up listening to them! Remember how punk pops was the it thing before house music and gaga music took over? (No offense to Gaga, I love her too!). When I heard they were heading to KL 7 years ago, I went nuts. I joined the Underground Simple Plan Fan Club (for Malaysians only) and we got the chance to cut the line for the autograph session and performed for them for a mini showcase in KDU. I remember they had some kind of telematch in KDU with students. I don't know if this fanclub still exist or not. That was my first time meeting Simple Plan, my favourite rock gods. They mean a lot to me, their lyrics, their songs, everything! It's like they speak the story of my life. The following year, Simple Plan came again for a full on concert in Bukit Kiara. I went with Syu, my best friend in the entire world and we went crazy again. We waited for them at the airport, greeted the guys, welcomed them with gifts. Sadly I didn't manage to snap any photos because there WERE SO MANY PEOPLE at that time and I was being pushed around like a doll! :( But I was glad I could see them RIGHT in front of my eyes. The following night was their concert and I managed to be in the front row because I went super early!! Stupid me, I forgot to eat so toward the end of the concert, I almost fainted and got myself out of the crowd. What a spoiler! After that night, I didn't know when would Simple Plan come again. Finally, after 7 years of waiting, back with their new album, Simple Plan visited Malaysia again on January 14, 2012!!!!!!!! I think Im back to my crazy fangirl days! Oh how fun!

Im so happy when they added Malaysia to their Get Your Heart On World Tour 2012! It was held at KL Live, just the perfect venue for a comeback, not too big and not too small, and wherever you stand you are guaranteed a good view. I went with my sister who is also a crazy fan of the guys. The opening act was by a local band, The Revellers who are also my exhighschool mates! Wow, congratulations for winning the opening act audition. You have made TTDI proud! hahaha. The bank rocked it at KL Live, playing a cover and originals! You should check them out, they're on Facebook, Youtube...you know the lot.

About 15 minutes later, Simple Plan got on stage and their first song of the night was Shut Up! OMG, That's my favourite song!! The set for this show was awesome, more than awesome! They played pretty much all their famous tracks, including new ones, and some covers and medleys! I tell you...they still HAVE IT!! This is why I love them so much! They're always good in what they do, they know how to interact and appreciate fans, they're friendly, sweet, talented and more! Im so glad they came, definitely the highlight of the year and heck the year has just started! I hope I don't have to wait another 7 years, I'll probably bring my kid and husband then. Wow..can you imagine if that really happens? I can tell my kid 'Yo son, I've been listening to these guys ever since I was 13 and now Im seeing them for the fourth time, with you and Dad.' WOW! hahaha okay enough rambling, here are some photos and goodies!

I want to see them again! Managed to singalong to almost everything that night! I STILL HAVE IT! hahaha

Home Decor + Magazine Contests

A few days ago, I was in the mood for some house decor shopping. So mom and I went to this shop in One Utama, area Magazine Cafe tu, tak ingat pulak the name of the shop. By the way, that shop sells amazing vintage stuff and super gorgeous flowers for decor. So I bought these to splash some colours in my room, since my wall is white and so is the furniture. This is a good start to decorate my room. Will shop more soon!

The mini pink pail tu cute kan? I use that to put my pens and stuff! Baru la ada colour..selama ni dok guna yang bosan je..yang beli dekat stationery shop! Those flowers I put it in my room, on my table and my bed.

Besides shopping, I've been stuffing my face with some good magazines and suddenly felt the urge to enter contests. The last I did this was YEARS AGO, when I had all the time in the world after SPM. And now I've gotten back ALL MY TIME IN THE WORLD to do these kind of fun things! I used to win some makeup and shoes! Lets see if I can win more this time! It's fun and it's cheap. 30 sen je setem. :)

Should you get rid of all those old magazines?

Okay, so you have like tons of magazines piling up in the living room and your room. And they are old ones, well maybe not too old, probably about a few months ago punya edition. So what do you do with those? Do you throw them away or recycle it?

Well, as for me before I get rid of those magazines, I will pull out all articles that I like that I find useful, and file them according to section. For example, beauty, fashion, and life tips.

Sebenarnya this is what I've been doing for the past one month, korek balik magazine yang lama lama tu, belek belek tgk mana article yang berguna untuk refer in the future..senang! Tak payah nanti susah nak belek balik page mana and from which magazine. Buang masa je. So, a tip for all of you, kalau ada article yang anda suka, tear it out and file them. Senang nak tengok nanti :) And then barulah boleh buang those magazines! hehe

Lovely Lace & Rotelli

Semalam Lina try pakai kasut sukan baru tu, mak oiii...teramat sangat comfortable. Worth the money. Yay! Okay kita sambung previous entry.

Lepas borong at Skechers, Mama mengidam nak shopping items dari Lovely Lace. Rasanya the last Lina shopping kat situ was years ago! Time sekolah dulu kot. Dulu rajin masuk Lovely Lace sebab selalu nak cari birthday present untuk kawan like photo frames, teddy bears, purse comel-comel.. Tapi toward the end rasa macam asyik benda sama je, naik bosan pulak..

Lina pun ikut la Mama masuk Lovely Lace, mana la tahu kot kot ada benda yang berkenan di hati, and dapat naikkan balik cinta terhadap Lovely Lace. Amboi ayat..hahah. Mama as usual, dia beli benda-benda aroma nak wangikan rumah. Lina pulak mata ke sana-sini, banyaknya benda cantikkk!! Maklumlah dah bertahun tak masuk Lovely Lace kan. Lately Lina rajin nak decorate bilik sebab baru pindah kan..bilik baru, toilet baru, azam baru. Then I bumped into this for my toilet! hehe

My room masih takde theme lagi. Nak buat modern, tapi suka english garden ala-ala Lovely Lace pun okay jugak! Hmmm...orang kata kena decide on a theme, baru boleh pergi shopping barang yang sesuai dengan theme. Dilemma!!

Anyways, sebelum balik, suddenly teringat yang tahun ni banyak majlis perkahwinan. So itulah alasannya beli heels ni! hhehehe..Mama pun anggukkan aje.. :)

I got A for Thesis!

Alhamdulillah, syukur.

Berkat usaha and doa, terutama sekali doa mama and papa, Alhamdulillah, I got A for my Thesis and A- untuk Internship. All the hard work and sleepless nights and overtime kat office time praktikal dulu, paid off in the end.

Terima kasih to all my lecturers too for marking my papers dengan hati yang pemurah. hehehe..

Jantung berdebar-debar tgh hari tadi time nak check result online. Melompat terus bila nampak A! Amin amin..

Can't wait untuk convocation April ni! Alhamdulillah, perjalanan sebagai seorang pelajar degree sudah pun berakhir. Thanks to all who were with me through my ups and downs sepanjang di university!

Well, I used to have one, but that was 6 years ago and then it got old so dah jadi koyak-rabak. Ever since then, tak tau why so malas nak pergi beli, so sentiasa curi or pinjam my sisters punya. hahah. But lately, suddenly diri ini rajin untuk beriadah, briskwalking, panjat bukit sana sini, it's time to buy my own pair! *after kena sound dari mama* hahaha.

So Saturday baru-baru ni, Mama rasa murah hati nak belanja Lina. Ape lagi, terima tawaran beliau dengan tangan dan hati yang terbuka! We went to KLCC, sebab dah lama rasanya tak borong habis-habisan kat KLCC. Plus sales pun dah habis, cuti sekolah pun dah habis, mungkin KLCC dah reda sikit kot.. Nasib kami baik, sebab parking senang dapat, KLCC pun tak lah ramai orang sangat. Yay!

Kami pi Skechers! Why Skechers? Why not Reebok ke Nike ke dan lain-lain? Honestly, Lina memang minat Skechers sejak dari bangku sekolah lagi, dari primary school! Why? Sebab Skechers banyak designs lawa, colour colour and very girlish and of course, Skechers ada banyak pink sports shoes, and rasanya harga tak semahal dari Nike semua, tapi depends jugak la shoes macam mana yang kita nak beli. Brands lain Lina dah survey, takde design yang menarik perhatian kecuali dari Skechers.

One thing I like about Skechers, kalau beli barang kat situ mesti ada free gift and such! Siap bagi DVD and guide on how to live a healthy lifestyle! yay!

Fell in love with this pink shoes! This is from the Tone Up collection. These shoes supposedly can tone up your muscles, hips, etc. :)

Got a free gift! Botol air satu! Alhamdulillah, sebab masa nak beli kasut tu, dalam hati memang nak beli botol air satu, kononnya nak lengkap bila work out nanti. hheheehe.


Yang ni tak free gift, tapi tak mahal pun. These things hilangkan bau kasut..ye la lepas dah berpeluh peluh, lambat laun bau jugak kasut tu nanti..hehe..so letak benda ni dalam kasut anda, hilanglah bau busuk! yayy!

After dah borong at Skechers, wajib untuk melencong ke kedai lain, selagi Mama nak belanja. Tapi tu tunggu entry lain! Now dah kul 4am, nak tidur! Good night!

On 19 November 2011, I threw a mini birthday party for myself, attended by just me, family and close friends. The theme was pink and Paris. Yeap it's super pink! Like hot pink! It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life...

And Im feeeeeeeelin' gooooood! ;)

2011 is ending and I must say, it has been one hell/heaven of a super amazing/crazy year! I've laughed too much, cried too much, shopped too much, ate too much, slept too much, stayed up too much, studied too much (eh ye ke? Ehem..). And I hope to continue being the crazy me in many years to come. I can't deny that 2011 is a year full of learning and self-discovery. It has been a great journey, especially with my favourite people (you know who you are). I feel like I've done a lot of things this year, things that I never thought I could do, things that I never thought I dared to face. But I did. And thank you for that, thank you for giving me the opportunity to express myself, be who I am, and just living my life.

I love 2011. Got to do a lot of things on my final year of college, from college activities, internship and thesis. My internship was unforgettable. Never in my life I would talk about cars and motorbikes for a month! Well I interned at a private PR company and their main client is NAZA. So yeap, everyday I monitored the latest news on automobiles and stuff. It was a very meaningful experience for me. I got to meet a lot of people from the automobile industry, made friends with the media and so much more. Thank you MediaBond PR for having me! Can't believe that Im done with college. The mixed feelings have been haunting me, Im happy and sad at the same time! Freaking out too. But I guess I shall just go with the flow, and see where the future takes me. I don't want to rush myself in getting a job, at least not before April Convo. Im only going to look for a job after April Convocation. HEHE! Right now, I just want to live my life, do things that I couldn't go when I was busy with college, and just have fun.

2011 has been a year full of drama for me. Be it family, friendship, college, and so on. Im honoured to have met a lot of new people from the beauty industry who have taught me the importance of taking care of hair and beauty. Can't thank you enough!

2011 is the best year I've had so far, and I will never forget every single thing!

I need to make a list of things that I want to do soon! There are too many, and I don't even know where to begin! Oh dear..hahah I don't know why I feel like Im rushing myself when I have unlimited holidays! hahaha.

This song has been playing on repeat for days. It just makes me so happy and all smiley smiley! Olly Murs, I love your talent, please come to Malaysia and make me the happiest girl in the world! :)

Hello my loves! Dah berkurun zaman tak update blog ni. Sebenarnya, I've been very busy. Maklumlah now Im in my final sem, so tengah sibuk with thesis and few subjects yang perlu dihabiskan by December. And then Im free! No more college for me. Nak take a break until April sebab April baru convocation, and then baru cari kerja. hehehe..relaks...tak mau rush rush. Papa pun happy saya tak payah rush. Dia lagi suka kalau saya duduk rumah. haahha. Sephora, the world's favourite beauty store. I've been waiting for it to open in Malaysia FOR YEARS!
Finally, few months back Sephora was opened in StarHill Gallery and just two weeks ago for another branch in KLCC. Thank you God!
So I headed to Sephora with my good friend,Neesa and my oh my, my eyes were drawn to every single thing and my hands were itching to try on everything. But I told myself, one at a time..I will come back for more of course! I've been dying to buy Bare Minerals. Heard so many great reviews about it! So I was looking for it in Sephora and was approached by a beauty advisor named Danial. He is such a darling! So helpful and talented! He told me all the good stuff in Sephora, the must-have items and how to apply them. He helped me with my Bare Minerals and I love the effect. My face was flawless,as though Im not wearing anything yet I look like a star! I recommend all of you to try Bare Minerals. Get the Starter Kit! It's so worth it. There are two types of mineral foundations, 1 mineral veil, 1 concealor, 1 darker shade of powder for contouring, and 3 brushes. Actually one brush cost 90 bucks and in the starter kit there are 3! Omg. And I only paid for RM230 for everything! Go get it now!

Hi loves! As you all know, I've been pretty busy with college work, trying to work as much as I can as Im getting near to the end of college. This short semester is almost coming to an end, I have a week left before the long break starts. But then I gotta do my internship during the fasting month if not I can't finish college by end of this year. Sigh.. so much work to do but I guess that's what you have to face to make it all worth it in the end, right!
Remember when I told you guys that I would update whatever that I missed out on here, but now it seems like that's not gonna happen because there were TOO MUCH stuff that has been happening in my life. So what Im going to do is that I will update everyday (hopefully) and put up a pic or two of the recent events, alright?

Just so you know, to my family and friends out there, my family has moved to our Penchala casa. It's all because we finally hired a maid to help my mom out with the housework and we can't fit in 7 people in that small condo anymore. I guess it's time for us to move in to this new home that was built years ago. It's still a little quiet and dark, especially at night but I find peace here. Mom doesn't really like it because it's too sunyi for her and she gets bored easily when it's too quiet. I kind of feel bad because sometimes she's left alone in this big house when papa goes to work, sisters in school and im in college. I hope she will get used to it because seriously, my privacy has been invaded when we stayed in the cndo for a few days with the maid. It's time to move and adapt to new changes. I guess everybody will at least to have to go through things like these at one point in their life, no? Well lets just hope for the best! :)
Today I had a presentation in the morning and it went well, Alhamdulillah. The lecturer loved our work. It was for my Feature Writing class. Ms Melissa told me that my previous assignments that I wrote on student and lecturer profiles were pretty well written and she suggested that I could have been a journalist or a freelance writer. Thank you Miss! I fo love writing, but for a career, I don't think so.. My vocabulary needs to be polished and I still need to improve on my English and creating bombastic sentences. But I guess if at one point in my life, I hate organizing events (who knows one day i might get sick of it), then why not settle down for some writing! :) We'll see how it goes!
Last Friday, my PR Methods class organized a charity event for Japan in conjunction with the recent disaster that striked Japan, the Tsunami and earthquake. All proceeds of the event will go straight to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. The event was a success and Mr Kannan (our lecturer) and the whole uni was so proud and happy of our achievements! We organized everything in less than 5 weeks and it turned out massive! There were students' performances and our celebrities were Ning Baizura, Tom Mystars LG, Ikhwal (soon to be Malaysia's biggest pop star), and Beat The System. I was excited when my friend who contacted Ning to perform at the event confirmed her attendance! Finally I got to meet my singing and fashion idol ever since I was a lil girl, Ning Baizura! I love her so much. She is legendary and a superstar, a diva! I LOVE HER!
My role/duty for the event is to escort the VIPs. So I had to take good care of the celebrities should they need anything. I had a great time talking to them and serving them. Sad to say that this was the last event I organized. There will be no more since Im finishing college soon! Here are some pics that I want to share :)

Should I?

Hey dolls! I know it's been TOO long since the last I updated this blog! I definitely havent forgotten about this blog, it was just that I have been VERY busy with college work and things that I had to do outside college. So many dramas, ups and downs have been happening to me, my family and friends! I would tell you all one day when I REALLY have the time to because right now is 1.30am and Im getting kind of sleepy.

Semester reopens tomorrow for a short semester. Can't believe holidays are over and the January-April sem was done! Tomorrow I will start my life as a 3rd Sem Final year student. Taking 2 subjects this sem and probably need to start on my thesis already and start looking around for internship opportunities or else I can't finish college by end of this year. I am left with one more semester which is the August semester and 2 subjects to go and then I AM DONE WITH EDUCATION FOREVER! Which practically means, my graduation ceremony is April 2012 and I gotta look for real jobs after that. But for now I don't care about looking for job because all I know is I wanna finish college by end of this year and take a long long vacation!

Here are some of the things I want to do after graduation:

Beach holiday in private islands in Sabah, namely Mabul, Kapalai etc..
Singapore trip with my girls (yes I haven't been to Singapore, laugh all you want)
Hair makeover and probably colour it

There are more but somewhoe nothing comes to my mind at this hour.

Im falling deep. It sucks. I hate this feeling. It hurts to know that he doesn't know how I feel.
If only he knows. If only I can tell him how I feel whenever I see him, but I can't say it. It just won't come out from my mouth. I hate this. I think about him before I sleep and the moment I wake up. I thank Allah every day for waking me up so that I can see him or I know he is there somewhere. I thank Allah that I know him. ~Good things happen to people who wait~

Mom always tells me that whenever I complain how I still haven't found my true love. Many people ask me, till to date, why haven't I got a boyfriend?God.. Am I that pathetic that people have to ask me that A LOT of times? Or are they so bored of their lives that they have to pick on others? Sometimes I ask my mom, "What is wrong with me? Am I a weirdo? Do I dress up badly? Do I do my makeup like a clown? Am I not pretty enough for the guys to look at me? What is wrong with me, mother? Tell me." She would smile, look me in the eyes and say, "No one is perfect. If you're perfect, you're not human. Everyone is beautiful. You are beautiful in your way, and one day you're gonna find a man that will see it and treasure it for life. Trust me,it's worth the wait. You are going to get that one FINE man that no one out there dares to disturb or question your life anymore. Just be patient, never stop praying, and you will find him". I love my mother, she knows the right words to say no matter what disaster strikes my life. I love the fact that I can talk to her about anything at anytime. She always knows how to make me happy. Maybe my love story will be just like my mother's where she married her first boyfriend and are still so in love till today. Maybe I will marry my first love.. who knows, only Allah swt knows.
As a typical girl I am, I always say I want a perfect man, when I know for sure there is no such thing as perfect in this world. I don't even know why that word exists in the first place! Yes yes I know, I want a strong, brave, rich, loving man who can support me till the day I die but, who doesn't? I mean, I don't want to marry a guy who can't support me, who can't build a family due to financial crisis. Every girl on this planet wants a man who is financially stable. No money, don't get married. It's that simple. Maybe love conquers all, but seriously, those people who stand firm on 'money cant buy happiness' needs a brutal reality check.
Okay back to my story *dah terpesong dah ni*
Money is important, and THAT'S a fact. But what are the criterias that I want in a man? I only want 5.

Religious -can guide family, teach my children how to pray and read the Quran, take my children to the mosque..
Financially stable
Good Looking
Understanding, Loving, Generous, Kind and Patient
Smart & Knowledgeable

Note that the FIRST criteria is religious. As a Muslim, I want my family (my children) to be on the right path. I want a man that can teach my children about Islam and how to be a good Muslim. I want a man who loves performing the jemaah prayers so the whole family can pray together. Isn't that beautiful?

Secondly, of course, financially stable. He should be able to support me and my children... no problem in funding for school fees, household items, and can take the family on holidays occassionally.

Thirdly, looks. People say looks doesn't matter as long as the person has a good heart. That's true. But what I meant is that, I don't want a hot man. I don't want a man who looks like he can walk on the runway for Armani Exchange and be one of the top 100 most good looking men on earth. I don't mind having short guys. I don't mind having huge fat guys as my husband. I don't mind having someone who is as short as me and round and looks nerdy as my husband. I prefer the nerdy kind. I prefer the ones that are normal looking. What Im trying to say is that I want someone who I can look at many times and never get bored.

Fourth, the characteristics. Positive traits are what we want, right? But like I said, no such thing as perfect. Everyone has flaws. I don't care about the flaws as long as my future husband is kind and has a good heart, by all means, I want to have him for life. You know it's love when you are able to put up with your partner's bad habits and flaws till the day you die.

Last but not the least, brains. A man that can teach and guide my children. A man that knows what's happening around the world. A man that is alert.

So..the critterias mentioned above may sound cliche and common but from the bottom of my heart, honestly, I only need that 5.

You never know where you will find your true love. Maybe the boyfriend you have now won't be your husband. Maybe you will find another one in the future? You see, everything is in God's hands. All we can do is pray, pray, and pray. And with Allah's willings, with Allah's power, things might change in a snap even before we are prepared for it. Patience is part of our faith and patience lead you to become a good person. Appreciate what you have now, thank Allah for everything, because only He can give and take whenever He desires.

Boys&girls out there, if you're just like me, wondering why we haven't found the one? Don't you worry. Your time will come. You might not know.. probably someone that you never thought you would end up with will be your partner for life? Someone who is right in front of you all these while but you never SEE them? You don't know.. only Allah knows. Allah has everything in plan. And remember, Allah creates things in pairs, including humans. So don't you worry, with lots of prayers, you will get your true love, you will find the one because good things happen to people who wait.

The day I saw Katy Perry live!

Hey dear readers :)
I can never thank you enough for actually taking the time to read my blog though it's nothing much. Just letting you know again, that my blog is more like my diary, but of course i don't put personal stuff here, but just pretty much of what I did today and stuff like that.
Well today was lovely. My grandmother and uncle stayed over my place for a few days. My grandmother is not well these days, so my uncles and my dad are taking turns taking care of her. I hope she gets better :) My uncle is here because it's the weekend and he doesn't work on weekends. I love it when my house is packed, especially when it's occupied with my lovely relatives. I love the atmosphere of huge and loud dinners. Everything is just so.. happy!
We stayed home during the day, did nothing really.. just lazed around. But for dinner we ate at Jom Makan in Kota Damansara. Has any of you been there before? I love that place! It's one of our family's favourite restaurants. The service is really quick, it's cheap, friendly staff, food is too damn good! I recommend you to try Jom Makan! Really worth it!
I had Nasi Goreng Orang Asli. Kind of funny, non? Well, it tasted really good! It's actually like a normal fried rice, it's just that the rempah they use is quite different. Tastier than other types of Nasi Goreng. Well you have to try it for yourself!
After dinner, sempat singgah dvd shop. I bought 4 movies -Letters to Juliet (I LOVE this movie so much!), Legenda Budak Setan, Semerah Cinta Stiletto ( I love Lisa Surihani and Farid Kamil), and Vampires Suck.
Letters to Juliet is so romantic. I know that romantic comedy movies, most of them have the same endin which is happy ending and people ask me on and on 'Why do you watch it when you already know how's the ending like?'. Then I tell them, 'Well, of course I know the ending to a typical romantic comedy movies, but why do I still watch them is that it makes me happy,it makes me forget about getting my heart broken or never find my true love again, it makes me feel as though the world is full of happy people and full of love.What's so wrong about feeling those way if it makes me happy?'. And then, they do not dare to clarify any further. I mean, we do what make us happy. So why argue? :)

So tonight was a chick flick for me. Watched Letters to Juliet and Semerah Cinta Stiletto. I am not the kind of person who really has to see the movie as soon as it comes out. I like to wait for it to be out on dvds and watch it at home. But of course unless it's Harry Potter and Narnia, then I will watch em in the cinemas. Seriously guys, im a sucker for romantic comedies. :)

Now shall we continue on my story for summer in July?
Okay, the day after Emma's party, I was geared up for a very interesting and adrenalin-pumping night. I got tickets for MTV World Stage, live in Sunway Lagoon. Im so thankful and relieved that MTV chose Malaysia again this year for World Stage. Do you think it's every year in Malaysia? Lets just hope so!!! So this year's act was not as many as last year's, but still, my favourite band, Tokio Hotel and favourite popstar Katy Perry were all set to perform for Malaysia!

I went with my sister,Arina and her friends. The day was very wet too, it was raining heavily before I got there! Actually I missed the first act which was Bunkface because it took me about an hour to get a parking space! But luckily i've seen Bunkface a lot of times already so it's not a big deal for me to miss it :)

Second act on stage was The Wonder Girls! One of Asia's favourite girlband from Korea :) They are really good live though! Love their costumes, their dance moves, their vocals, everything was good! No wonder they can go really far :) Sorry if the photos are not good, I suck in taking photos in concerts because I was too busy enjoying myself!!

The moment that everyone was waiting for and probably the main reason why people had to go for this year's MTV World Stage! Who would have thought, Katy Perry landed in Kuala Lumpur! I never thought I would see her in person! IM A HUGE FAN!! All covered, she agreed to the rules and regulations of concerts in KL, she threw an awesome and mind-blowing performance that night! Sang all her hits and even new ones! Oh God, Katy Perry is the BOMB! She was so beautiful! Ah, she's always so beautiful!

I hope next year's MTV World Stage will be in KL too. Rumours saying that it will be in Singapore? I don't know, but whatever it is, Im going to go all out and full-force to get the tickets!

21? How time flies!

Turning 21 is a really big step in anyone's life. There goes your teenage life. There goes your pre-adult phase. When you are 21, you are an adult, fully adult. At this age, no one should tell you what to do or what not to do, what you can do or what you cannot do. You should be able to think on your own, standing up for your own rights, be more repsonsible in life, be more independent. I turned 21 this year. Im glad my mother understands how I want to live my life and what do I want to achieve in my life. She supports in everything I do. My dad supports me too, I mean he never says no to what I want to do but there are at times he still thinks im a 10 year old where I can't be independent or do things on my own. But I understand how he feels, a daughter will always be daddy's lil girl until she's married and moved out of the house. Because he knows, once Im married, his responsible on me will be passed on to my husband. So for now, I give him the chance and I totally know how he feels :) So it's okay. Talking about birthdays, Im just so amazed how my Pumpkins turned 21 too (some of them are still 20). It was this year that all Pumpkins that were turning 21 did a birthday party. Syu did (in Melbourne, of course we couldn't be there), Far did (in Melbourne too), Nina did (we threw a surprise party for her), Emma did (expensive birthday at The Apartment), Aiysha did (at her house with kenduri food!), and I did too (BBQ Party at my place). I love birthday parties, don't you? I just love the whole atmosphere, the blowing candles session, the unwrapping gifts session. I just love those moments. Don't you? :)

As for this post, since we are still talking about the happenings in July, Emma threw an awesome birthday bash at The Apartment :) Yes, I mentioned expensive birthday.. because the food in The Apartment IS expensive, and she paid for about almost 30 people? WOW! But it was no big deal as it was a 21st birthday! Any parents wouldn't mind spending extra moolah on their children's birthday parties :) Emma booked the whole whole of the 2nd floor of the restaurant which was specifically designed for gatherings/functions/events. The whole room was dark, but of course there were lights on. It was more of like a candle-light dinner kind of style? Dark yet you can see stuff? I guess because the walls of The Apartment is 100% black. Nonetheless, I loved the concept. I liked the fact that Emma chose that place because the food there is good, and the venue is just nice :)

Looking beautiful in a sweet peachy pink dress, all dolled up, my darling Emma turned 21 that night. Her party was fun and we couldnt stop laughing and talking the whole night. I love intimate gatherings like this :) The party was attended by of course Pumpkins, Emma's close college friends and ex-highschool mates.

3 days with Jake

Hi! :)

I know that it's winter on the other side of the world, but I told you I would start blogging now from where I left off, right? That should be my summer post! Do you know how I remember where to start from? Well, I looked at my previous posts (I stopped at the Children Party for the kids from Myanmar) and then I referred to my planner and checked the things I did after that. Simple as that! So lets start..

My best friend of 15 years, Syu came back from Melbourne for her winter holidays in July. She brought along one of her best friends in Melbourne, Jake. I heard a lot about Jake, what a great guy he was and how he really took care of Syu and everything! Jake is from San Fransisco and he was in Melbourne for a student exchange program. I was so excited to meet Jake when Syu called me that she had rested and ready to hang out!

DAY 1
We took Jake for some Ramly Burger goodness just around the corner. That is Syuhada and I's favourite Ramli Burger stall ever since we were 6 years old? Yeah, THAT long. The abang who makes the burgers dah kaya dah sekarang! Hebat kan! :) I loved the expression on Jake's face when he first tasted the burger. He admitted it was SO GOOD and was wondering why don't they have this around the world! haha. Well Jake, it's Malaysia's pride, we don't want other people to copy it! So you better not make one there and give it to your friends! Kidding :)

After our burger session, Syu got a call from her friends inviting us to hang out at Reggae Bar! I always here people talking about Reggae Bar and finally I got to see it for myself. Raggae Bar is a double storey club/bar. The ground floor is more of like a club, where people can dance and the songs that are played are alway R&B! Whereas the 1st floor is a bar, a relaxed and chilled atmosphere, where people just sat, talking, while listening to Reggae music :) We were not in the dancing mood, so we went to the 1st floor and just hung out and talked..and talked.. and talked :) There I met some of Syu's good friends studying in Melbourne. Im so glad Syu introduced me to her best friends in Melbourne! :) Some of them drank the night away but I don't drink alcohol, so I just had some Coke and Pepsi non stop! :)


Syuhada and Jake! Isn't he such a cute guy? Very friendly. I felt like I've known him for years! Story story with him is really fun!

DAY 2

Woke up super duper early for Penang! And it was a day trip! Hebat tak? It took us only 3.5 hours to get to Penang, imagine la betapa lajunya Syu's driver drove us there! Surprisingly, no road block, no speed trap! yay :) Being good Malaysian citizens, we taught Jake our food, culture and interesting spots in Penang. First stop, tak lain tak bukan, lunch at Taman Kota Lama. And of course, semestinya, we had it! The sole reason why people go to dine at Taman Kota Lama, is because of its mouth-watering Mee Sotong and Coconut Milkshake that is to die for!

mmmmm..sedap and addicitve. Coconut milkshake! Ya Allah, mana nak cari kat KL ni!!

Mee Sotong! Ni pun takde kat KL tau!! Hanya di Penang Taman Kota Lama! yeah!

After lunch, we went to Cheong Fatt Tze mansion, or better known as The Blue Mansion. This house has a wonderful history, click here to know more! Managed to only capture the outer part of the mansion. They don't allow cameras inside the mansion.. boooo hooo :( At this place, I know a lot about the Chinese traditions and culture!!

This was near one of the temples. I forgot what it's called.. I think it was The Goddess of Mercy Temple!

Saw a Chinese play in front of the temple. VERY interesting! I understood the story :)

After visiting the temples, just a few blocks away we visited a mosque, Masjid Kapitan Keling. Beautiful mosque!

Teruskan perjalanan kami untuk explore more temples..malangnya.. kami sesat.. haha. last last.. call driver suruh amik :)

Oh before I forget, when we were lost, we saw a market. But the market was full of man. I was like, 'is that a gay market or something?'. But it doesn't look fun or happy happy at all. The atmosphere in the market was dull, depressed, scary and everyone looked very suspicious. Then it clicked to my head, I saw it on a documentary once... It was a market for people to sell stolen stuff!!. Oh..My..Effing.. Lord..! No wonder! I saw a man selling about 5 pairs of shoes which looked like they had been worn several times! Omg.. Syu and I were so scared because we had our bags with us and Jake had his awesome huge camera. What if someone was eyeing us and planning to snatch it? Oh shit.. so we acted cool, pretended like we were not afraid of anything, just kept on walking, passed by the market with our heads held up high, and Alhamdulillah, nothing bad happened to us. Phoned Syu's driver quickly to pick us up! haha.. WHAT an adventure!!

When the night came, Batu Ferringhi was calling :) The night market of Batu Ferringhi was definitely Syu and I's favourite market! Semestinya, we had dinner at Long Beach Foodcourt, situated along the night market. And if I come to Penang, I MUST have this awesome fried oyster egg! Holy moly.. SEDAP YANG TERAMAT!! Jake loved everything we ordered! Bagus Jake ni, semua dia suka, semua sedap! Memang adventurous!

DAY 3

It was the last day for Jake in KL. So we took him to our favourite mall, the mall that we grew up in, One Utama la.. mana lagi! We went for fish spa! Syu was too afraid to try as she got ticklish very easily. Well it is very ticklish at first, but after some time, you are numb to it :) I love fish spa!!

We went to Batu Caves too! One of my favourite spots in Malaysia :) I don't know why, I just LOVE climbing up the stairs of Batu Caves!!

Tak sah kalau datang Malaysia, tak tengok KLCC at night. So we went to the fountain area, near KLCC to get the BEST view of KLCC. Sampai terbaring-baring ha tangkap gambar KLCC ni! Masuk juga muka si Syu ni! haha.

So that's basically of what we did when Jake came here :)
I miss you Jake! Hope you will come back to KL soon! or yet, wait for me in San Fransisco :)

Hi there! Right now im busy with my finals! But no worries, as promised, I WILL update this blog after my vacation!
Oh yes, Im going to Italy this Saturday for a week! Will venture the famous landmarks of Italy such as Rome, Milan, Florence and Pisa! All in just one week. It will be tiring but I can assure myself that this will be an unforgettable trip! Also, after I get back from Italy, I will fly to Sarawak for a cousins's wedding and only will be back in KL on the 21st! So will see you after 21st December!

Okay kita start..!

Wanita.. sering kali dilabelkan as the 'weaker sex'. To the boys, define 'weak' for me please?
Maybe the first things that come to your head is perempuan tuh pengecut.. dok rumah je..masak..jaga anak.. ikut cakap suami. Is that what you define as weak? Dahsyat..

Wanita memang at times kami ni weak, lemah, terlalu sensitif, takut nak lawan suami. Tapi ada sebab kenapa kami macam tuh.. kami ikut cakap suami atau kami lebih yakin dengan apa jua keputusan yang dibuat lelaki sebab kami percaya dengan lelaki tu.Jadi, kami tak kisah apa dia nak buat..buat da.. Kami tau lelaki tuh bertanggungjawab, apatah lagi kalau dia suami kita kan, sebab itu kami dengar cakap lelaki/suami. Dalam agama pun kata, jangan derhaka kepada suami. Kami hormat, sayang, tannak timbulkan pergaduhan yang tak berbaloi, tannak retakkan rumahtangga yang telah dibina. Tapi that does not mean lelaki patut kategorikan perempuan sebagai lemah? Lemah sangat ke kitorang?
Habis tuh.. siapa yang masak untuk suami? Siapa yang setiap minggu keluar pergi hypermarket cari barang untuk keperluan harian, keperluan dapur, nak bagi anak suami makan?And tau tau la perut lelaki ni kalau bab bab makan.. heheh. Siapa yang hantar anak sekolah tuisyen dua atau 3 kali sekali kalau husband keja sampai malam? Betul tak? Majoritinya wife kan? Tak caye.. pegi la sekolah mana mana, dalam pukul 1.10pm macam tuh.. lihatlah mak mak semua tunggu anak balik sekolah. Lepas dah amik anak sekolah, bagi anak makan, lepas tuh hantar pulak pi tuisyen petang, ambik dari tuisyen, masak untuk dinner pulak. And, in between masa budak budak pegi sekolah tuisyen, kami tak dok diam je tau. Kena kemas rumah, cuci baju, lipat baju, buat gardening dan macam macam lagi!
Ya, mungkin lelaki kata 'ala.. dia housewife..buat la ape yang housewife patut buat'. Memang betul itu keja housewife, tapi tolonglah, please dont ever stop appreciate us boleh tak? It breaks my heart to find out that husbands are cheating on their wives, abuse their wives, marah isteri bila balik keje sebab stress. Tolong la.. kami dah buat semua benda..dah kemas.. dah masak.. dah cuci.. sampai hati si suami boleh lagi nak marah si isteri just because dia stress kat keje. Lepas tuh bila si isteri dah kena marah, siape jugak yang tolong buatkan coffee hantarkan ke bilik sebab si isteri tau si suami tgh tension dgn keje dlm bilik tu? Si isteri jugak yang hantar coffee.. si isteri jugak lembutkan hati suami..

Memang banyak pengorbanan wanita..
Memang banyak kesakitan dan perit yang dilalui oleh setiap wanita hingga akhir hayat..
Wanita lagi tabah kalau nak diikutkan!

1)Bila perempuan mencecah umur dalam 10 hinga 12 tahun, majoriti kena akil baligh time tu kan.. budak perempuan mana yang tak terkejut tgk ada darah on their panties?Ada yang pengsan nampak darah. After dah few years, badan rasa sakit-sakit sebab breasts are growing. Boys, you all tau tak bila breasts perempuan tgh membesar, still growing, sakit yang amat tau!Tersentuh sikit pun dah terasa macam nak bengkak, macam kena tumbuk. Korang syok la tgk kan.. tapi korang tau ke kesakitan yang kami alami? hhehehe
2)Period kami datang setiap bulan, hingga lah dalam usia 55 to 60years old. Everytime kami kena period, macam macam sakit yang kami rasai.. pening kepala, sakit belakang, sakit dada, demam, loya, muntah-muntah, tak selera makan, tak boleh berjalan sebab sakit lenguh satu badan, emotional sensitif, mengamuk tak tentu pasal. Fuuuuh..tak habis lagi tu, ada lagi tapi stop situ je la. Lina kena period masa umur 10 tahun, SO, untuk 40 or 45 tahun lagi, Lina akan rasa pening kepala, sakit belakang, sakit dada, demam, loya, muntah-muntah, tak selera makan, tak boleh berjalan sebab sakit lenguh satu badan, emotional sensitif, mengamuk tak tentu pasal. Kisah period tak cukup sakit lagi.. kita pergi pula bab mengandung.

3)Bila dah mengandung pulak, untuk 9 bulan kami sakit lagi. Sakit perut sebab baby tendang. mula mula mengandung dah loya, muntah-muntah, peninggggg je for a few days. Bila baby dah start growing dalam perut, berat badan naik, kaki dah start bengkak sebab kena support weight baby. Kami kena jaga pemakanan sebab nak jaga dua manusia, si ibu dan bayi. Sakit belakang sebab perut kami besar dan berat. Jalan sikit je dah penat.. can u imagine, untuk 9 bulan macam ni! fuish.. lepas mengandung, bersalin pulak!

4)Bab bersalin pulak.. memang sakit la!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kalau kita sembelit, nak buang air besar susah, pun dah sakit kan?? Yang keluar pun bukannya besar sangat. Bayangkan lah, BABY pulak nak keluar!!! Adoi!!Memang terkoyak habis la okay!!!!
This is woman's BIGGEST PAIN AND SACRIFICE. It's the day where we have the worst pain one can face, but yet the most beautiful and memorable day of our lives cuz we have brought someone to this world.

5)Bila dah lahirkan anak, kena jaga anak. Tido kami tak tentu masa, siang malam pun boleh berjaga. Siang jadi malam. Malam jadi siang. Kalau baby nangis kul 3 pagi, siape jugak yang bangun nak bagi baby minum susu, nak breastfeed? Malam dah berjaga sebab nak tidurkan baby yang menangis, siang ingatkan boleh tido, tapi alamak.. kena masak untuk suami pulak, nak cuci baju lagi, kemas rumah.. wuish!!

Whoa.. macam macam si Lina ni membebel.. haha

Tapi memang Lina geram sgt kat orang yang selalu kata perempuan ni lembik, bodoh, macam kerbau dicucuk hidung! Sakit sgt hati!! Wanita dah berkorban banyak benda.. bagi makan.. bagi anak..jaga anak.. apa lagi lu mau?

Errr..I know this picture agak random.. but few days ago I got a whole new set of makeup and was so happily experimenting some new looks. I don't know what this look is called but it's actually neither blue nor purple. Well actually, at first I put some electric dark blue eye shadow, and then dab a lil bit of purple eyeshadow. So what colour is it now? To me it sill looks blue sket la..

Honestly, Im not good with eyeshadow. Im more of a mascara and lippie person. I can't live the house without mascara (yes I know my lash dah panjang, banyak orang kata tak payah pakai mascara, pakai curler je) and lipstick pink macam Barbie punya pink. Im not into hot red lips, or dark colours for lip. I love baby hot pink :)

Hi all :)

So macam mana puasa semua? okay? Ada yang dah tinggal sebab kena period? Lina tak kena lagi..harap harap dapat puasa penuh tahun ni macam tahun lepas! So far puasa okay.. my family tak beli lagi lauk kat Bazaar Ramadhan.. buat masa sekarang mama masih rajin masak. sekejap je tuh. Nanti bila dah nak dekat dekat Raya tuh baru dia start beli Bazaar Ramadhan. Sebenarnya my family ni malas sket nak pegi bazaar..susah la nak cari parking! haha. Kitorang selalu pegi yang kat TTDI..dekat dengan rumah :)

Today buka puasa Green Curry Beef masakan mama! Sedapnya.. Ya Allah.. ngidam..dah lama mama tak masak green curry! hehe. Thank you mama! Everything papa makan masakan mama.. mesti cakap 'ni boleh jual ni.' Ye la tu Pa.. tak sanggup kami adik beradik ni nak berniaga.. nak ikat plastik lauk makanan tu pun tak reti.. hahaha..

Ok la since takde apa nak diceritakan apa yang Lina buat today.. kita sambung my activities in July!

10th July, Circle K organised Children Party bersama kanak-kanak dari Burmese (Myanmar) Refugees. Ibu bapa mereka semua pelarian dari Myanmar. Anak-anak mereka ditempatkan at this one rumah besar..macam centre la.

About 100 kids yang datang together with their teachers. The children are ranged from 4 to 15 years old. I just realised yang orang Myanmar mukanya macam orang Melayu. hehe. Most of them cannot speak English or Malay.. so everytime we nak cakap something, kena minta tolong teacher diorang translate kan. Tapi the children are really smart, hyper, active and comel sangat!

Kitorang organise games macam treasure hunt. Satu hari bertreasure hunt!

Seronok sangat kalau main games with children.. ada je telatah dan gelagat diorant. Memang la sangat comel!

Tak ketinggalan..organisers pun nak perform jugak! We performed lagu 'I Have A Dream' by Abba.

No point of living if we don't give back to society. Takde gunanya kalau duit kita berlambak-lambak bertimbun-timbun kalau kita tak buat charity, tak tolong mereka yang memerlukan. Look at these children, they need help, they need us to help them to survive. I still remember their smiles and laughter when they got the goodies and food. Oh the little things we do for them, do make a huge difference! So those out there, yang tak pernah buat charity, tak pernah buat amal jariah, sila buat! Trust me, it will be a very good experience. Pengalaman yang memang you all takkan lupa sampai bila-bila. Tak kisah lah sesama Islam..atau bukan Islam.. kita kena buat baik to everyone regardless of race and religion or where they come from.. Tambahan bulan Ramadhan ni, rajin-rajin memberi sedekah, rajin-rajin la buat amal jariah.. bulan Ramadhan, bulan yang paling mulia. Semoga Allah memberkati kita semua.. InsyaAllah.

The Summer Holiday started :)

I'm done with second year!! Woohoooo!

July is the start of my Summer holidays for the year! 2 months baby! Classes resume in September! yay :)

Initially, I planned to travel somewhere, or at least visit Azleen in Scotland since she's all alone there now, but I realised, Im busy with things to do in July, and August is fasting month. No way I want to fast in the UK durign summer. Breaking fast is at 9pm! Gila! haha.

So lets see..how was my July!

USHER LIVE IN KL!

What a fantastic way to start my summer holidays, I went to Usher's concert! It was part of his World Tour to promote his latest album! Went with my sis, I kind of forced her cuz I didn't have anyone to go with me. Most of my close friends are not into Usher but Far was there but I didn't see her because she bought the RM280 seat, while I had the RM98 seat. I was broke, so I could only buy the cheapest tickets! But guess what? Eventhough it is the cheapest and we didn't have a really good view, the crowd in my area was MORE HAPPENING then the expensive ones! I guess yang mahal mahal tuh banyak orang tua or like VIPs! Seriously, my area, everyone was standing up jumping and dancing to Usher's sexy sexy smooth beats!! I didn't sit man! Berdiri je the whole concert!

I've been waiting for Usher to come to Malaysia for like 10 years already! Finally sampai pun!

He's such a great entertainer, awesome showmanship, sexy dance moves, great vocals! Overall, the concert was WICKED! Worth every single cent of my pocket money!! LOVE YOU USHER!!

It may look empty now, but soon all the seats were FULL!

Department of Communication is not orgnizing a ball this year, instead, we had a BCOMM Night! It is actually something like prom, but it's more like a party, social gathering, cocktail style kind of event :) Students didn't need to wear long formal red carpet gowns but we had to follow the theme which was, SEX & THE CITY!! OMG. Great job to the committee that suggestid this because this is definitely one of my favourite shows!!

I chose to dress up as Samantha Jones because she is my idol and my favourite among the rest of the casts!

Put on my zebra print tunic, a simple clutch, comfortable heels (I would totally dance the night way) and made my way to FUNKY VILLA, a Thai restaurant/bar/lounge at Cineleisure.

The place was BEAUTIFUL!! Perfect! Not too small, not too big! I was kind of late for the party so when I got there, ALL my friends were already there!!

I couldn't afford to miss this party because it might be my last party with the Comm students! Most of us are graduating next year, or at least finish course by April next year. Maybe tak sempat for next year's BComm Night..

So glad to see all my friends having fun! I think this was the games session!

JUNE (PART 2)

FETE DE LA MUSIQUE

Two days in a row, EMC assisted and organized at some point, a music festival called Fete de La Musique. So WHAT is Fete de la Musique? It's a music festival originated from France and is celebrated worldwide on June 21st. Anyone can perform..professionals..amateurs..wannabes.. u name it! Be it sing or dance! Every performer is given 15 minutes to show their talent for the world to see :) It's a great opportunity for those who want to be exposed and noticed in the entertainment industry and be known! HELP University College clearly does not want to miss this great festival. Thus, the celebration is held every year by HELP staff and students.

For this year, we held it at 4 different places for two days, which was at The Curve, Low Yatt, somewhere in Penang, and HELP University itself.

I had a great time taking care of things, being a so-called stage manager, calling out bands to get ready and make sure everything goes well with ther performance! I couldn't believe all these bands/singers were just there near me! I felt really lucky! My favourite band of the night was of course, my friend's awesome rock metal band 'Beat The System' and my new-found love jazz band 'Tilu'. The performers at the festival were of various genres, rock, jazz, raggae, bollywood, world, and so much more!

Oh yea.. we handled the one in The Curve, well because it was near to my home! Malas la nak pi low yatt.. area tak best plak tu.. hehe.. Check the pics out and u can tell I had a superb time under the sun!

Fete de la Musique was a success, ended with the bang, though kami kena marah ngan The Curve sebab terlebih time, ala, what do you expect kan.. mana ada concert yang habis on time, betul tak? But it's okay.. all bands sempat performed dengan jayanya! Thank God..

Before I went home, sempat bermamak di Devis Corner, because didn't eat the whole day, dok sibuk melayan bands.. macam groupie pulak! haha. Balik terus tidur, I didn't shower, dah tak larat nak berdiri, must wake up early for tomorrow's event, Fete de la Musique at HELP University College, orgnized by EMC. That means, it was handled solely by the EMC. The crowd was not as good as the one in The Curve as we did not advertise it much, but Alhamdulillah everything went fine, the performers were happy, and those who came definitely had a good time! Thank you sangat sangat! :)

AIYSHA IS 21! *GASP*

Lupa pulak nak blog pasal surprise party cik Aiysha kita ni! Im sure those of you who always reads my blog, and friends of mine, you all for sure know who is Aiysha kan? Darlingku Aiysha yang manja ni :)

On 13th June, we had a surprise party for her! After weeks of planning it with her family, gladly it went well! Takde terkantoi! hahah. The theme of the party was flowery..so we all dressed up in something colourfull and flowery and the decor was of purple and hot pink! Both are Aiysha's favourite colours!

I didn't know that the family invited her relatives too, thought it was just us Pumpkins. But it's okay! The more the merrier kan!

Can't believe Aiysha is already 21! Omg. She's legal for EVERYTHING. Well not that she will do any bad stuff, but still, she's LEGAL! Even Im not 21 yet! oooops. Semoga panjang umur dan sentiasa dimurahkan rezeki ye Aiysha.. aminnn :)

Pumpkins were so jealous of her awesome surprise birthday party! Sungguh meriah and the food that we had..MasyaAllah..hebat-hebat!

If there's Aiysha, there's a SLEEPOVER PARTY!

After all the hu ha hu ha at Aiysha's house for her surprise 21st, 2 weeks later, she couldn't get enough of us. As usual. We're so addicitve right, Aiysha?

So she decided to hold a sleepover party! 2nd celebration of her birthday and Far's too since Far's birthday is near to her! And the theme for this time is MEXICAN FIESTA. ayayaiiii!

We transformed Aiysha's place into a Mexican Village, had Mexican food (so spicy I must say!! but very good!), and of course, no Mexican party is called Mexican Party if there was no PINATA!

Emma and I bought a Pinata of a horse, an angry house actually (you'll know what I mean). We were looking for the cheapest but nicest one, so we got it! Bought the pinata at Toys R Us! Dah lama tak pijak tempat tuh..sebab selama ni takde sebab kan nak pegi situ.. semua dah besar panjang.. saya pun takde anak lagi.. eh tak kahwin pun lagi nak cakap pasal anak pulak.. ish ish..Lina Lina.. gatal sungguh kamu ni ya! hahah

Thanks Aiysha and Farhana for the awesome Mexican food! hehe..yes.. the rest of us just came to the house with an empty tummy.

After dinner, it was time to play Pinata! Damn the Pinata was so hard to break!! It took us hours to get the Pinata poop candies!!! Then we figured how.Think of someone that we hate, imagine him/her as the pinata, and hit it as hard as we could and VOILA!! Pecah pun!!! Quickly picked up the candies like a 5 year old kid. Seriously.. can you believe it that we're all 20 and 21? Doesn't sound like it..i know!

JULY

July is the best month I've had this year by far!

Alhamdulillah...tawakal kepada Allah.. final exams were fine! Oh yes.. im done with second year of university!! How time flies by SO FAST! I can't believe at the end of August, Im going to be a 3rd year student, which means final year...wow wow! Cepat sungguh masa berlalu.. kelip kelip mata.. dah nak graduate kan!

Anyway..lets see what I did in July!

Orphanage Visit with Onch

The day I met Onch at Youth Festival, that night, Onch wrote on my Facebook wall asking me if I know any orphanage home because he would like to visit and give some toys. Then I remembered El Shaddai Shelter Home that I visited few years ago with Circle K. So I recommended it to Onch, gave him the contact details and off we went!

Emma and Nina joined me for the orphanage visit! Shaddai Orphanage is not that far from our home, it's located near MidValley, Old Klang Road. Onch and friends and family were already there when we arrived! So happy to see Onch again! Such a sweet guy! He was with his mom and brother, and two best friends TJ Fantini and Kesh Sandhu. Did you know that TJ Fantini was in Mickey Mouse Club along with Britney Spears and all? And did you know that Kesh Sandhu is a model? Im sure you've seen his face somewhere! hehe.

So when we reached the orphanage home, I was so happy to see children running around with their new toys given by Onch and company! We brought food and snacks for the kids!

Some of the kids were colouring and some of them were playing footie, setting up toys..! Onch also gave them a file with colouring books and colour pencils in it! Im so touched to see the smiles on their faces! They were so happy that we came to visit!

Fish Spa!

The next day, Onch invited us (me, Emma and Nina) to hang out with him at One Utama before he went back to Los Angeles :(

There were few girls and a boy came all the from Indonesia to see Onch! So this day was solely for Onch and fans!

Had a few sips at Starbucks with all of them, including Onch and TJ and a head accesory designer, Bremen Wong! It was a short but fun gathering, listening to Onch's experience and real life stories and all!

After consuming to much coffee and tea, Onch wanted to try out the Fish Spa. OMG. This was my first time at Fish Spa and so was Onch and the rest of us! So we went to Doctor Fish, and it's 38 bucks per person. We thought it was cheap because I heard in other parts of the world it's very expensive. It's only cheap in Asia. Heck, everything is cheap in Asia! haha. The moment we dip our feet in, we couldn't stop giggling, laughing and screaming! OMG.. it was so ticklish!!!!! geli gila!!!!!

The fish won't stop feeding themselves!! Eventhough your feet is already clean, they would still nibble and nibble!


Fish Spa ni meriah sebab kami ramai. Dah tak aman.. havoc! Mesti orang yang tgh urut kaki kat sebelah tension gila. haha.

40 minutes of Fish Spa was definitely worth it, and definitely more than we needed!

Before we went home, we managed to shop and walked around with Onch and TJ. The Indonesian girls went off for lunch. They must be really rich kids to fly to KL last minute!

Tokio Hotel in Malaysia!!

1st May 2010 was definitely a date to be remembered! I've been a Tokio Hotel for a long time and finally they were here in Malaysia for a concert! I love their style, Bill's hot smokin makeup, their songs, lyrics..everything about em just gets me you know? It's been years I've been looking up to them and I've been wanting to see Bill's gorgeous face right in front of my house. It came true!

At first I thought they were here just for a concert, no autograph session or meet n greet and such. But I was wrong. One day, I was browsing around Facebook, and read a friend's page that said Tokio Hotel was going to have an autogrpah session at One Utama on the same day of the concert. OH.MY.GOD. I definitely had to go! Because 1)I want to see them. 2)One Utama is like walking distance from my home. No way I would want to miss this chance! And of course, in order for fans to get in line for their autographs, we must have their album with us. Thank God I got mine! :) So Emma (die-hard fan, crazier than I am) and I, headed to One Utama and was shocked to see the super duper long queue (mostly girls in black and thick eye make up, I guess they wanted to impress Bill), all waiting for Tokio Hotel to appear. I was SO far away from the stage, so I was kind of at the back of the line. I was worried just in case we did not get the chance to get their autographs, 'cause you know, they probably had a very tight schedule for press conference, interviews and stuff.

One of my friends, Nina, she had a whole itinerary of where would Tokio Hotel be and when were their interveiws and stuf! Nina was working in One World Hotel at that time, where Tokio Hotel stayed. She actually saw them going into the lift. She was shocked of course, and just froze and shy away! She should have approached, but oh well, at least she saw them right! Lucky chick!

Anyway, back to the autograph session. We waited in line for about 45 minutes and finally Tokio Hotel appeared from behind the stage!!! OMG. Everyone went crazy! It was like the mall was on a terrorist attack or something! I swear if I was walking in the mall and didn't know what was going on and heard the crazy screamings, I would totally go to my car and drive home. Sounded like a bomb about to explode! Well..I was one of the screaming girls!

At first Emma and I didn't quite have a good view of them because there were huge banners blocking our view! Ugh, so annoyying! But later, time flew really fast, we found ourselves a few steps away from Tokio Hotel. I walked a few steps and the first person that signed my album was Bill Kaulitz. He looked up and said hi. OMG. I was stunned. I froze, then I giggled and said hi. And then, out of the blue, something striked my mind.. I didn't buy anything to give them as a fan gift. So I took off one of the bracelets I was wearing and quickly gave it to Bill!! The Malaysia's bodyguard was being a jerk and said no, but the band's official security said yes and Bill took it :) YAY! Now he has something that will remind him of me! :) Well at least I hope he remembers me! pfft! haha.

The person sitting next to Bill was his sexy twin brother, Tom Kaulitz. Tom was so flirty! We chat a lil bit! Very friendly and cheeky I must say ;) Then moved on to the rest of the band, Georg and Gustav. They were nice too!

I was so glad that the autograph session went so well because they actually looked up to see their fans and said hi! Some bands would just keep signing the album without even saying hi to the fans! This is one of the reasons i love Tokio Hotel! They're friendly and fun! Friendly rockstars.. mmm.. I LIKE ;)

Also, there was at one point where I became a papparazi for a few seconds. When the autograph session was over, they walked to the exit door and all fans RUSHED and MOBBED to get a closer look at them and touch them or whatever crazy fans would do! And me, with my camera, I ran in the crowd to see them! And this is the closest zoom in I could get of Bill! Good, no? haha

We went home after that to rest our feet and get ready for the concert that night! We went early because as usual, what crazy fans would do, we wanted to get to the stage as near as possible. While waiting for the gate to open, it started pouring and everyone's mood was just OFF.

Nontheless, I got my girls with me to survive with! My lil sis Aainaa, BFF Nina and Emma, and Emma's sister Aina. We kept on talking to kill time. About 6-ish the gate opened and my oh my! Everyone RAN! The guards didn't manage to check their tickets. So practically, those who did not have tickets were allowed to be in too! This is so unethical! But whatever la.. as long as I got the chance to see Tokio Hotel in action!

Back to the stampede story, I couldn't run because I was dehydrated so badly. Suddenly, my girls were not with me. My lil sister was gone...I guess because she ran with the crowd when I didn't. I panicked. I phone Emma and Nina and they were near the stage, I was quite at the back. I didn't mind :) I called my lil sister and she was somewhere in the crowd and I finally saw her standing on a pavement! Phewh..thank God!! We waited and waited for the concert to start.. but nothing happened. Such a bad delay!

We got out of the crowd and got us some food and drinks. Definitely super thirsty and hungry at that time after all that waiting under the rain, sun, running whatever!

Finally..around 8.30pm, after the local acts, Tokio Hotel appeared on stage and everyone automatically jumped to their tunes!! WOoo yeahhhHHH!!

Nordic Film Festival

For your information, I've joined another club in college, which is Event Managing Club (EMC). It's actually a new club, founded by my close friends. I decided to give it a try and been helping them out with some events. 4th till 7th May, HELP University College was chosen to be the venue for Nordic Film Festival. The purpose of this festival is to of course to promote films from the Nordic countries (Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark) as many Malaysians are not exposed to their films.

EMC was chosen to assist the event. We didn't organize it, the Embassies did and we just assisted..like setting up the table, chairs, food and such. Preparation went well and we were extra excited for the first day of the festival because the director from one of the films actually flew all the way from Sweden to promote his film here at my university. His movie was also the first one to be screened, which is 'One Eye Red'. Before the screening, he did a workshop for students to know more about his films and other projects. Sadly I didn't go to the workshop because I had to prepare for the festival. But I managed to see him after the screening of his movie! His name is Daniel Wallentin, a Swedish director!

I did not watch all the films because I had to go on shifts, taking care of the food and stuff. Can you believe it.. while waiting for the film to finish, EMC peeps played charades to kill time? OMG..! I hope we didn't laugh too loud! haha

Empire Shopping Gallery

Did you guys hear about the new shopping mall in Subang Jaya? Located right in front of Subang Parade? Those of you that haven't noticed, yes, there is a new mall! Empire Shopping Gallery is fresh, brand new and it's so beautiful! Not as big and luxurious as Pavilion, but I must say that it is very nice and well-designed! Went there with Emma and Nina, my two BFF shoppers. We decided to check it out but we didn't shop because not many stores were opened yet. So window shopping and tgk tgk je :) Jalan jalan, ended up kat Toys R Us. Terjumpa Woody and Buzz Lightyear! BEST!! :)

While we were walking around in the mall, we saw these! I think it's super beautiful! They decorated the mannequins with origamis! Like flowers kan! Lawa! Apa lagi..berposing la kami :)

Lecturer's Day by Circle K of HELP University College

As we all know, May is the month that is dedicated specially for teachers around the world. Circle K organised a Lecturer's Day where we distributed gifts to the lecturers from the students. We sold a bunch of key chains, clips, phone straps, all that useful goods :) The event was a success as our expectations were met, actually higher! Yay! I believe that Circle K has really improved this year! As a senior member, Im thanking all junior members for their loyalty and hard work! Good job guys!

I Donated Blood for the FIRST TIME!!

25th May is a historical date for me! I donated blood! Yes, me, the coward, me who hates needles, me who hates everything that has to do with doctors, nurses, hospitals and blood especially! I always thought you know, im not eligible to donate because im overweight, but I guess that is just my excuse. IPRMSA (Institute of Public Relations Malaysia Students Association) had assisted the blood donation drive. I joined the club too because it was my field as a PR student and I believe I will learn a lot by joining this club. This was my first event as a PR member. Despite taking care of the drive, I decided to donate blood. Did my checkp up there and everything and my oh my, I AM eligible to donate! Omg i was so happy but nervous and scared at the same time! Soon it was my turn to kena 'tembak' by the nurse to check what type of blood I was. Omg, that one sakit gila! Look at this photo! Look at my finger :(

I was trying so hard not to cry cuz it really hurt like crazy! I melatah gila sebab terkejut! The nurse didn't warn me that she was going to do that! grr!

After awhile, the nurses slowly put some pipes in my arms, and there you go! The blood flows to the pint like a hungry vampire! And of course, after that my arms were numb and weak. It took me about a week for a full recovery. But hey, it was all worth it. 'One moment of your time, can save lives'. Remember that people, whenever you come across a blood donation advertisement ;)

Youth Festival 2010. I MET ONCH MOVEMENT! O.M.G.

Every year, YouthAsia (google it if u wanna know more) organizes a festival for youth all over Malaysia! It is a super duper HUGE event and it's always been a success. This year, the festival was held in PWTC. I was wondering, how the heck were they going to do it in PWTC? Isn't like PWTC got small small dewans? Little did I know that PWTC is actually more than that! Omg, the festival was HUGE! HUGE in terms of the venue, the number of stalls/booths opened, the number or the sea of people that attended, and the number of things that you could do there!! It was definitely a good event for all youths to unite! Heck you can make lotsa new friends! There were non stop concert, day and night, sports activities like dancing and rock climbing, seminars/workshops for those who are interested to know about their career and studies hosted by professionals from the industry, and whole lotsa other things!!
PWTC was crowded and guess what? The entrance is FREE! I got free passes for all 3 days! Oh yea, the event was 3 days in a row so that everyone got a chance to witness the festival!
Anyway, Youth Festival was totally a festival that I will remember for THE REST OF MY LIFE! Why? Well do you know this guy? I meant the Asian guy on the right.

And guess what? I MET HIM!!!
I've been a fan for quite a long time and have been following him on Twitter.
One day, he tweeted that he was coming to Kuala Lumpur to meet his family that he has not seen for years! His family lives in KL! Ha! So I thought that this was a great chance for me to meet him!
He tweeted that he would be at the Youth Festival on Saturday as most fans would be there on that day too! When I reached PWTC, I wanted to tweet him saying that I was here already at the festival but my Blackberry died and I didn't know what to do!! What if I didn't bump into Onch? It would be a waste! :(
But luck was on my side, I heard a familiar voice. I turned around, and saw Onch with his friends walking toward the beginning of the festival route. Without further delay, I called his name!! He looked at me and the first thing he said was 'Lina Pumpkin right?' . OMG. He recognized me! hahhahah!! Then we chatted a lil bit, he gave me his name card! Sweet! Onch also introduced me to some of his lovely friends, Kesh Sandhu an TJ Fantini (google them) and Veronica! I was SO HAPPY and felts so LUCKY to finally meet Onch! He is such a friendly and cheerful person! Love him!!

Girls Night Out at Euphoria

One of the days, my girlfriends and I had a night out at our usual nightlife spot, Euphoria!
Went there with Grace and met Sue Ann! It's been a really LONG TIME since we partied together. Actually there were two more people that usually party with us but they were not there due to some conflicts. Ahh. life. What is life without drama and conflicts? Nevertheless, im not on both sides. I love all of them. Lets hope things will get better in the future because girlfriends are for life :)

Yes, I am the self-confessed brat princess!

Well Hello there friends and family!
Sorry for the long absence! Sorry for neglecting this blog for about 2 months I think yeah?
A lot has been happening to me. Both good and bad but mainly great stuff! I've been living life to the fullest, meeting lots of interesting people, done a lot of successful work. I've been around, still here in KL Malaysia those who are wondering :)
Actually I just finished my short semester about 2 weeks ago. I couldn't blog during my short semester because well you know..short semester..means non-stop assignments and by the time you know it, you're due for final exams. I had no time to babble at all. Truly sorry for that!
Right now Im on holidays. SUMMER BREAK! Till the end of August.
Surprisingly, me, the so-called travel freak, is not going anywhere for vacation this summer.
I have planned to stay home, probably learn how to cook and bake awesome pastries, spend more quality time with family and friends, read all the chic-lits that I bought long time ago, sunbathe by the pool, and just relax.. :)
So watch out for upcoming posts! Im going to babble all the things that I've supposed to blog on!

Circle K had its 3rd General Meeting. It's not just ordinary general meeting that we have had all these while...this was special because the meeting was attended by new members that we managed to recruit at the recruitment drive which was held recently some time in April! If im not mistaken, we managed to get 20 members to join this club! Hey, banyak tuh tau! The Board of Directors, including me, had a tough time to contact with past members yang suddenly missing tak attend meetings, jawab fone calls or reply emails. Thank you so much to DSA for organizing the recruitment drive! Kalau tak, don't know what will happen to Circle K! Alhamdulillah..with lots of patience and effort..God has helped us :)

A few days after I finished my final exams, a very good friend of mine, Miss Michelle Yong invited me to join her for the CLEO's Most Eligible Bachelor happening at Zouk, KL. It would be my first time attending the annual event hosted by CLEO and also first time entering Zouk. I've been waiting all these years to go the Bachelor Bash tapi selama ni underage kan! Now dah 21, semua jalan!! :) Thank you so much Michelle, she managed to get us VIP Pass! yay! :) So we didn't have to queue la panjang sangat, qeueu kat priority lane cepat sikit :) Masa tengah beratur, CLEO staff approached us and asked us if we wanted to play the games with the bachelors on stage later. I didn't want to because you know la me..pemalu..dah lah all those bachelors hensem hensem belaka..i probably terkencing kot atas stage tuh. hahaah. But Michelle agreed to it which meant I had to go to cuz we didn't want to be seperated because people that were going to play the games have a special area to hang. oh well. I was like okay.. lets go! We were game number two! :)

Opening ceremony was mind-blowing! There were a bunch of professional drummers played a number of songs whilst introducing every bachelor :) Girls (including me) couldn't stop screaming, giggling, squealing over the hunks! Yes, I can't deny the fact that they are really good looking people in town!! Bonus points.. they are successful and have very pleasant personalities too! What more do you want in a guy kan?

All bachelors definitely had attracted me especially the disabled bachelor! He is so awesome and strong! So proud of you Leonard!!

Games were the main agenda for the night! There were about 6 or 7 games tak silap..soon the first game was done and it was my friends and I's turn to play the games! Oh yeah, I met girls from HELP too!! It always feels so great to meet your classmates in a club! hehehe. My girls and I got up on the stage and we had to choose a bachelor to play the game. So I choose bachelor number what I don't know, but he was cute and friendly too :)

Serena and Phat Fabes, the hosts for the night explained the game. The bachelors were to style up my hair in a crazy gaga kind of way and which had the best style wins. Oh dear God.. I pity the bachelor because my hair is long, thick and wavy and he is a clean bold guy..im sure dia culture shock. hahaha! So Poker Face was blasting from the speakers all around, it was time for them to start styling our hair! The bachelor that I chose kept on apologizing if we didn't win. haha. I didn't care about winning, as long we had fun right? His name is Faiz Mahzan (go check your magazine and read to find out more about him). I didn't have pictures of the games because I was holding the camera, lupa pulak nak suruh orang tangkap kan! Damn it!! I hope CLEO will upload the pictures somewhere!!! :( You will laugh how my hair looks like! hahaha.

Anyway, no we didn't win the game, another couple did! haha they deserved it! It was MAD :)

Game after game, it was time for the closing ceremony. The highlight of the night was the performance from the bachelors. They danced to Wonder Girl's 'Nobody' and Beyonce's 'Single Ladies'. OMG. Can you imagine? Funny giler!!!!!! Will upload the video nanti!

The night wouldn't end without the announcement of the most eligible bachelor of the year. The title goes to Amir Millson (Bachelor 16). Congratulations Amir!!!! You very well deserved it! Hotness :)

The party ended around 10pm which meant, me and my friends would make our way to the neighbouring clubs to PARTAYY the night away! But sadly, unlucky me, I wore the wrong shoes, my feet totally died! I couldn't even walk properly man! I guess because I was standing for 3 hours straight with 4inch heels. Cuhrazee I tell you. Michelle still wanted to stay but I wanted to go home. So I didn't join their clubbing session later that night :( Kaki dah terlalu sikit. SERIOUSLY! I walked back to my car barefoot! hahah.

God was saving me, the next day, a friend told me that Zouk got raid that night around 1 am. Omg, thank God I balik. If not kena tahan check ni la check tu la. leceh! haha. Nasib nasib... :)

I love my relatives. Especially the ones that are around my age of course, sebab boleh hang out and lepak satu hari! One of the weekends, me and my big sis, Yana had a day out with out two beloved cousins, Faiz and Farhan. Haih..semua dah besar panjand dah ha! Dulu semua budak budak mentah je.. hehe. Sekarang dah boleh drive, dah boleh lepak jauh jauh! :) We went to Pavilion, window shopping, and walked to Sungei Wang and of course I bought a lot of shit. Useless-wasting-money kind of shit! You see, this is what Sungei Wang does to you...makes you buy SHIT! hahaahah. Oh yeah not forgetting, we had lunh at Pavilion's Madam kwan and was served by Madam Kwan herself! So awesome!! Such a very sweet old lady :) Nak take pic with her, tapi semua tersipu-sipu malu. Takpela..some other time. Dengar cerita Madam Kwan selalu ada kat Pavilion punya. Next time MUST tangkap gambar! :)

I'v been waiting for her to come to Malaysia. After 8 years of waiting with full patience, KELLY CLARKSON finally made her way to Malaysia!! And of course I wouldn't want to miss the concert!

Aisyha and I are huge fans of Kelly! Emma was supposed to come along but she couldn't get tickets. :(

The concert was held at the outdoor stadium! Didn't know they didn't use the indoor stadium. It was kind of stuffy and hot at the outdoor stadium. No fans, no aircond nothing. We had to fan ourselves with the fans that they gave us with Kelly's face on it! hah! :)

Sadly for us, our seats were facing the lighting crew with kind of blocked us from seeing Kelly but we managed to see Kelly la! Thank God the lighting crew wasn't there the whole concert!

Opening act was SUPERB!!! Performances by Malaysia's favourite strong vocal chicks, Jaclyn Victor and Suki! I love it when they they sing Malay songs! Sedap dengar :)

Around 8.30pm sharp, Kelly appeared on stage and she looked so fabulous with just a simple black dress and leggings, she started off with 'All I Ever Wanted'!! My favourite song! I wanted to stand up and jump jump but the people at my area were bunch of boring old hags that didn't know the meaning of a fun concert! Diorang duduk je..dengan muk monyok! What the hell kan! I was so jealous to see the area next to me were bunch of energetic kids jumping jumping! But thank God towards the end, like the last 5 songs, baru the crowd in my area started to stand up and dance along! Fiuhhh... Well just so you know, I was the first person to start to stand up and then baru yang lain nak diri. But the girls next to me seriously have a thick layer of glue stuck to their asses and the chairs. omg. Tak berdiri langsung!BAIK BALIK RUMAH TENGOK KAT TV JE! WHAT'S THE POINT KAU BAYAR 200 BUCKS KALAU NAK DUDUK DENGAN MUKA SEPULUH SEN TU (RASANYA TAK SAMPAI PUN SEPULUH SEN, SATU SEN JE KOT!!) PALOI!! NGOK!!

Kelly was undeniably mind-blowing!!! Her vocals were strong and soulful as ever and she looked great throughout the whole night!! She sang all he famous hits that got the crowd went crazy! She didn't need to sing Breakaway and Because Of You because the crowd was singing along to it loudly! I could see on Kelly's face she was so touched! yay! we love Kelly! The whole stadium even sang her a birthday song because it was her birthday that day!! : The concert ended with 'My Life Would Suck Without You' that got the crowd jumping, pumping, screaming their lungs out!!! It was so much fun! I could feel the floor was bergegar because everyone was jumping! nasib tak runtuh stadium! hahah!

Circle K came up with a campaign last month about doing good deeds to ourselves and others. 'A Deed A Day Campaign' gave students the chance to post up the good deeds that they have done on that day. A board for post-ups were placed in the university for about a week and look at the results! Thank you so much for supporting the campaign everyone! :)

Early April, my BFF, Adlina organized a surprise party for her boyfriend of 3 years, Tanvir! The party was at Pizza Hut, Pusat Bandar Damansara. It was a party kecil-kecilan but we still had fun! It was funny to see Tanvir's shocking face when he saw all of us waiting for him at Pizza Hut! Love the fruit cake and the pizzaz so much!! It was my first time tasting many kinds of pizza! I usually eat pepperoni, hawaiin chicken, plain cheese and super supreme. But this time I tried Royal Masala and Seafood pizza! Omg sedap gila! :) Thanks Ad for everything! Happy Belated Birthday Tanvir :) May Allah bless you everytime :)

EMC (Event Managing Club) is a new club in HELP University College and is running by my good friends and I've been more proud of them. They have contributed so much to the university by organizing events that bring students together to have fun! Their very first event was called ' THE F.E.E.L.' . It was a glow in the dark event where attendees could write whatever they wanted and posted it up on a board provided and tada....glow in the dark!! Nina and I came to support the event because our darling Emma is one of the organizers :) So proud of you and the team! We had so much fun jumpind and dacing to the performances. A band called 'Beat The System' had definitely got the crowd went wild and we had the time of our lives headbanging!! I love rock songs! It felt as though I was at a rock concert!! Bestttttt!!! :) Check these out!!

Circle K Joint Installation Night

Hi everyone!

This post is due for so long but you know me, I keep my word so here I am blogging about it!

If im not mistaken la kan, early April, Circle K of my university were invited to attend a joint installation night for Taylor's and Metropolitan University College. Not many of us could make it but there were 3 of us were there to represent HELP University College -me, Fathiah and Yvonne. I couldn't go in the first place due to some problems but because Im the PR Director for the club, I figured I must go!

The theme was 1 Malaysia so I wore my jubah because my baju kurung all were at my other house! hehe. Cantik tak my jubah?? :)

The night went well! Good job to the team for making it happen! Thanks for the marvellous buffet! It was delish!!!

I was chosen to play a game, which required me to build the longest straws and drink 10 cups of orange juice while standing. OMG. And duh, I lost. haha. But it was fun!

There was a hand glove performance, the glow in the dark thing! It was SO COOL!

Before we went home, we singgah at Yvonne's condo in Bangsar! The condo was so beautiful and luxurious! But he funny or sad part is that no one is allowed to roam around the garden and pool area after 11pm. What the eff? I meant, the residents paid for the whole thing here and ada such rules! Omg. hahhaa. Yvonne was pissed too!! Poor girl. The place was so nice but the security was blehh.

What's up everyone?

I just finished my exams yesterday and boy oh boy do I have a lot of posts to do!
Im a girl who keeps my word, so I will update all those posts yang hutang dah berapa lama kan :)
In the meantime too Im going to change a lil bt of my layout..right now it looks kind of messy. Can't stand it!

LFM Charity Bazaar

LFM stands for Lung Foundation Malaysia. My best friend in the whole wide world, Adlina had invited me to volunteer at a charity bazaar organized by LFM. Knowing me who loves charity work like this, I definitely said YES! Adlina's dad who is a lung specialist is the chairman of the foundation and the bazaar!

The bazaar was held in Kampung Sg Penchala on 28th March 2010. So close to my home!

Around 8 am, Ad and I made our way to the venue to set up before the public started to pour in. There were about 25 booths, ranging from selling clothes and house decorations, food, drinks, games corner, and so much more!

Ad told me that the bazaar was a bit last minute and was not advertised that well. There were not that many people before 11am. But as soon the time is approaching to lunch hour, more and more people came to the bazaar! yay! I guess because they wanted to buy food for lunch :)

Still early in the morning..I could barely open my eyes while setting up our booth! hehe

Ha,,tadaaa! We were incharged of Fun and Games corner!

There were two games.

1)Darts (as usual, tak sah kalau bazaar takda darts kan!)

2)Kick the ball masuk goal but blocked by a huge teddy bear (THE HARDEST GAME)

Winners will get merchandise from LFM! There were caps, keychains, t shirts :) I got the cap! hehehe

Ye..saya petugas di situ! :) Dengan rela hati! Plus dapat sijil tau, boleh lah letak dalam resume for job application later kan :)

Adults that dropped by at our booth were only interested to play the darts!

But, the kids LOVED the ball game!! Especially this kid below, he was so interested in the ball game!

So he invited his friends and cousins to join him to score the ball! Thanks to these beautiful and funny children, ketidakpuashati mereka telah menambahkan our profit!

Oh ya.. the entrance fee of the game is RM3 per game. You will be amazed how much we earned at the end of the day just by playing these 2 games...

Our guests of honour was Pak Lah and wife, Jean Abdullah! I tak sempat nak take pic with Pak Lah, everybody serbu him..but I got to take a pic with the beautiful wife! Omg, she's so sweet, very friendly and down to earth! Love her!

As the place was starting to get crowded, it was the perfect time for some dancing! I never say no to dancing so I joined in the fun! We danced poco poco! I sucked in it but oh well I had so much fun dancing with all these kakak kakak and aunt aunt and also Chef Ismail!! :)

Ha tengok tu.. Chef Ismal kita sungguh semangat! haha he's so funny and cute! Love him!

This auntie that was holding me was afraid if we pushed each other! hahah

This band below is perhaps the most talented children i've ever met. They are like 12 or 13 years old? But OMG, they were SO GOOD! They sang a number of songs with full energy and emotions! The kid's voice was BAM!! I want them to perform at my wedding for sure!! :) I will upload video of them soon! Right now I can't find the file! booo..

There were about 2 or 3 other bands performed too but I didn't manage to take pics because our booth was full of kids so we had to layan them all! hahah.

Below : Our booth's neighbour was offering manicure and hairspray services! Also attracted the kids! :)

Aik? Who is this cute little boy? Well..this kid was stuck with us for more than an hour trying to win the games. The parents left him at our booth cuz they wanted to walk around the bazaar and meet their friends. We were babysitters at some point! hahah. But this boy was so cute and smart! I miss him :( Hope we'll meet again! The parents gave a whole load of coupons for the kid to use at our booth! haha

With my most favourite chef in the world, Chef Ismail! He ajak to join his cooking class! yayy! Nak join! mesti join! If not tak kahwin la saya nanti.. :) hehe.

Guess what? We earned about RM500!!!!! omg. Our booth only was already 500 bucks! Imagine other booths? wow. This bazaar was definitely a success.

Thank you Haneesa dear for coming although you came so late! Too bad other pumpkins couldn't make it! It was definitely more fun if all of us could make it! But takpe.. we still had fun kan Ad!

The bazaar ended early because all the food finished early! I think I visited all booths but takda la beli semua! I bought some awesome cookies from a stall by Food Insitute of Malaysia! Whoa, I didn't know there is such college in Malaysia! If I knew I would have studied there! haha. There were a lot of food at the bazaar..nasi beriyani.. desserts..Chef Ismail's famous pie..mamak..macam macam! Happy semua dapat makan kenyang! Alhamdulillah.. :)

Around 5pm, everyone started to pack and rest. Omg.. we looked like satisfied Ah Long after a long day trying to catch debters! hahah

I don't know why suddenly the craze for Hello Kitty is back!
I used to love Hello Kitty so much when I was in primary school and I don't know how it stopped!
But ever since I've been paying visits to Sg Wang, I go crazy over Hello Kitty all over again!

My bed and curtain is Hello Kitty! yay!!

And thank God, CHE CHE NEW YORK is finally here in Malaysia! It's located in MidValley and Pavilion if im not mistaken!! yay! :)

Board games Campaign!!

PR Strategies & Campaign class is perhaps one of the classes that I will truly miss!

Students in this class were told to organize events/campaigns as part of our assessment. This is a very good step for us, PR majors to learn how to organize campaigns, promotion, publicity and such!

Many campaigns were held like Animal Rights Campaign, Safe Sex Campaign, Toilet Cleanliness Campaign and many more!

So what did my group do??

We did Board Games Campaign!!

The purpose we chose this campaign is to create awareness that board games is not just Monopoly, Snake & Ladder or Scrabble. It is definitely MORE than that!

Therefore, we came up with the theme..

'BOARD GAMES AIN'T JUST MONOPOLY'

As you scroll down to see the pictures, you can see the variety of boardgames that is suitable for everyone!

My favourites are Headbanz and Ticket To Ride. Most boys prefer World of Warcraft and other adventurous board games!

Setting up the place!

Im sure some of you have never seen these board games! What are you waiting for? Buy em and start playing! You can rent too!

My favourite!! Ticket to Ride! You have to build railway tracks! The longest wins!

Guests playing World of Warcraft. One of the toughest games there is!

Headbanz is definitely the funniest and most laid-back game ever!! the best!

And you know what, actually all proceeds from the entrance fee goes to charity! We chose Bethany Home! We managed to collect a few hundreds! Thank you very much!

We even sold T-shirts too designed by my friends!

HEY HEY!!
How are you? Apa khabar? Hope everyone is doing fine!!
Im truly sorry for lack of updates these past few weeks.
I've been SUPER DUPER busy with college! Many assignments were due the past week, and thank God im left with ONE assignment for this semester which is due this Friday :) Can't wait for it to be over!!
Most classes are done this week so that next week will be a study break for us before we go for our exams next weekend! yikess!
I've been attending and organizing so many events for class..college and all!
And also, been busy with shopping!
SHITES. Now my savings account is running low low low. Yikes!

I have A LOT to tell you!! A LOT! So get ready to read my stories and pictures!

International Hot Air Balloon Festival 2010

Sunday yang lepas, my family and I nak check out Hot Air Balloon Festival kat Putrajaya tuh. Orang semua dok berbuih mulut bercerita pasal festival tuh, so my family pun nak check out! Cuz last year kitorang tak pegi. Hoping Sunday punya would be fun, sebab closing ceremony kan, mesti happening festival tu!

But..bila dah nak sampai Putrajaya tuh, dongak ke atas, nak tengok langit, langit dah gelap. ALAMAK..
Nak hujan ke ni?? Alaaaa..sedihnya! Kalau hujan, tak dapat la hot air balloons tuh nak take off kan!

Dok berharap sangat so that tak hujan..

So sementara tunggu balloon ballon tuh nak take off..kitorang pun jalan jalan kat festival tuh.. Banyak sgt benda yg dijual! Macam macam tau! Baju..slippers.. decoration rumah.. kites..ballloons Hello Kitty banyak sgt. Ni kalau cousin Lina yang kecik tuh (Hannah) ternampak balloon tuh, mesti dah melalak nak Hello Kitty tuh. hahaha!

Dalam pukul 6pm macam tuh, balloon tuh dah start nak pasang. Tapi tgk langit lagi, MAKIN GELAP LANGIT!! Alamak..guruh pun dah bunyi..tak lama lagi sambaran kilat pula tiba!

Nasib dapat nampak 2 balloons..!

Terus... HUJAN TURUN SANGAT LEBAT!!!
TIDAKKKKKK..
Kitorang sedih sangat..heart-broken semua tak dapat tgk hot air balloon take off.. dah lah first time kat festival ni!! Lina pun kesian tgk keluarga keluarga lain yang bawak anak anak kecil nak tgk balloon tuh, semua sedih :(

So kitorang pun lari ke kereta nak balik..
Nasib tak pulang rumah dengan tangan kosong.. Nasib Lina sempat shopping kat festival tuh.
Lina beli WALL STICKERS!!! Dok mengidam benda ni..mentang-mentang la dah ada bilik baru kan..dinding yg masih putih kosong.. so Lina nak letak wall stickers banyak banyak!

Masa dalam kereta tuh.. papa tgk kitorang semua muka dah sedih masam.. papa pun bawak pegi Alamanda Mall sebelum balik! yayy! Sebab dia tau, the only way to pujuk anak-anak dia is to bring them to a shopping mall..ye la..kata anak gadis kan! hahahTerus muka semua senyum lebar! :)
Dah lama jugak Lina tak pegi Alamanda..the last time was YEARS ago, masa mall tuh first first bukak dulu.
Cantek jugak Alamanda ni.. kedai dia pun not bad! So kitorang jalan jalan..makan dinner..tunggu hukan berhenti sket..baru balik!

Kitorang sempat singgah kat this one dessert place at Alamanda foodcourt, cuba tgk betul betul. Macam macam ada!! best!

Sedih memang sedih tak dapt tgk festival tuh..
Tapi yang penting, keluarga pergi dan balik dengan selamat. Sebab hujan was so lebat, memang potential accident. My heart was beating like crazy in the car!

I bought my CLEO Magazine yesterday and guess what I saw? Yes, besides the YUMMY hunks for this year's CLEO Most Eligible Bachelors!

I WAS IN THE MAGAZINE!

Well, not a few pages spread of me but a picture of me!!

Check out the last page of the magazine! Im at the bottom of the page. My picture was chosen from CLEO's website. There was a contest where readers can upload pictures at the website and the best picture will be featured in the magazine!

Unexpectedly, my picture was chosen though I didn't win from the highest votes! The editor loved my picture! haha

Well thanks to my lil sister for taking the picture and thanks to my girls for acting silly and crazy in the picture! hahaha.

I might not win any prizes, but this is perhaps the best prize for me, to be featured in a magazine that can last forever. Oh ya, I never throw my magazines! So if you come into my room, you'll see stacks of magazines at EVERY corner of my room! Im a magazine freak if that's what you call it! :)

So now I can scratch my list of things to do before I die.
